Lychee Slicer 8.0.2
- Lychee Slicer
- Minor update
Following 8.0.1, we’re continuing to improve the reliability of Lychee Slicer 8. This update fixes auto-supports passing through models and addresses startup, graphics and saving issues. It also introduces crash reporting to help us investigate unexpected closures and resolve them faster.

Crash reporting
If Lychee closes unexpectedly, you’ll be offered the option to send a crash report the next time you open it. These reports help us investigate and fix crashes faster.
Fixed 🐛
Model preparation
Auto-supports: Fixed an issue where automatically generated supports could pass through the model.
Startup and shutdown
Startup checks: Lychee no longer closes silently if it cannot check whether another instance is already running.
macOS — display asleep: Fixed an issue that prevented Lychee from starting when the display was asleep.
macOS — reopening after a crash: The system’s “Reopen windows?” prompt no longer blocks the next launch.
macOS — startup screen: Fixed a crash that could occur if the startup screen closed early.
Shutdown and logout: Lychee now closes cleanly when you shut down your computer or log out, without reporting a false crash on the next launch.
Windows graphics and saving
Dual graphics cards: Fixed crashes affecting the interface and 3D view on Windows PCs with two graphics cards, such as an NVIDIA card alongside Intel graphics.
Saving with special characters: Fixed saving failures when a folder name or Windows user name contains special characters.
Interface and display
Display scaling: Menus, drop-down lists and pop-ups now appear in the correct position when display scaling is used, including 125% scaling on Windows and Retina displays on macOS.
Maximized window: On first launch, a maximized window now displays correctly right away.
